Tide Turning?
Interesting piece by Ben Pile on how Climate Sceptics are winning ...
There is an interesting piece today (22 January 2026) by one of my favourite commentators, Ben Pile, on recent pronouncements by “Carbon Brief” about the “war on NetZero”.
Maybe I’m too cynical about the future prospects of NetZero. I still think it will be years before NetZero policies and actions disappear. My personal concern and observation is that the risk of extremely high energy and power costs—self-inflicted by the policy of numerous governments in the world—is vastly worse than so-called “climate change” which might be better called “weather modification.”
The economic damage or even catastrophe of overly expensive energy and power, caused by non-productive industrial processes forced into existence by policy, can occur quickly, if not “over-night”, based on my understanding of history.
Attempting to change the weather can only lead to doing dumb things.
Just what I currently think. But Ben points out the tide might be turning.
